My stay at Regent Taipei was a solid experience overall. The hotel's grandeur and variety of amenities were impressive, though the rooms might feel a bit dated. The service was excellent—prompt and considerate—and the breakfast buffet was a highlight. However, the location's crowded streets were a minor inconvenience. I definitely look forward to returning.
Rooms

My room, a Premier Double with Balcony, was large and cozy. While the décor felt a bit tired, everything was clean and well-maintained. The traditional golden key was a bit unusual compared to modern key cards, which was something I found a bit inconvenient.
Service

The staff delivered really good service. The concierge made my check-in process smooth, and the evening turndown service added a nice touch. They were quick to address our needs, especially regarding accessing breakfast with an elderly companion.

I just wrapped up a fantastic two-night stay at Regent Taipei. The location is super convenient, close to major shops and restaurants, and the service was attentive, though check-in was a bit confusing. My room was beautifully appointed with comfortable amenities, but the hallway noise was sometimes noticeable. Overall, it was a nice experience with a lovely birthday surprise for my partner.
Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and well-maintained, with a comfy bed and soft pillows. A slight downside was the noise from the hallway due to a gap under the door.
Service
7.0
Staff were generally courteous and helpful, but I did have a frustrating check-in experience where another guest was prioritized over me without explanation.
Location

Overall, my stay at Regent Taipei was fantastic, with great service and spacious rooms that made our anniversary nice. However, I did encounter some minor issues at check-in and during dining that brought my experience down a notch.

The room was spacious and nicely appointed, featuring a firm bed and multiple pillows. I really enjoyed the big shower and the additional TV in the bathroom. However, the air conditioning had issues, fluctuating temperatures made it uncomfortable at times.

The staff was incredibly polite and attentive throughout my stay. Special shoutout to Megan Peng for her excellent customer service at check-in. They even surprised us with a birthday cheesecake for my partner, which was a good touch.

Regent Taipei is perfectly situated in the city center, making it convenient for tourist spots and just a short walk to the metro. The bustling area is lively but can feel a bit crowded with cars.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet had a great variety of Asian and Western options, but I found the menu could use more daily changes. My dining experience was impacted by not being able to get a table in the restaurant; we had to rely on room service, which was not ideal.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered excellent facilities, including a well-maintained gym and housekeeping that did a great job keeping everything spotless. However, the gym got crowded quickly, and I wished for a more private space just for hotel guests.

My stay at Regent Taipei was quite enjoyable, marked by spacious accommodations and attentive service. Nonetheless, my check-in experience left me feeling a bit disappointed. The location was stellar, making it easy to explore the city, and the dining options were good, especially the breakfast offerings.

The regular premier room was huge and stylishly decorated, featuring a walk-in closet, lounge area, and a large bathroom with both a separate shower and a bathtub. Impeccably clean and well-maintained, it exceeded my expectations.

Most of the staff, especially in the concierge and breakfast areas, were super friendly and helpful. However, my check-in experience was chaotic, and there were some communication issues during the process.

The rooftop swimming pool was a real treat, as it is heated for year-round use. The gym and sauna facilities were great, though the separate access via the main lobby could be inconvenient at times.
